The hell is this?
Digimon PC version.  It's a Tamagotchi that stays on top of all the windows you have open.  You take care of it, clean up its poop.  Feed it.  Train it.  Tamagotchi stuff.

Can you battle online?
Yes, but I think it require Hamatchi or something.  You link up by IPs or something.  I haven't messed with it yet.

What button does what?
Press F1 while looking at your Digimon on the main screen. That should explain everything.  If you still have a question, ask away.

When I press 'x' a menu pops up.  What is it?
I don't know. (If you can figure it out, let me know.)

What does the lightbulb do?
If your Digimon is asleep, you need to turn off the lights so it can sleep comfortably.  It also decides what your digimon digivolves into besides just its stats.

How many Digimon are in the game?
A lot.

My save corrupted!
You should make sure you put the game in its own folder so that you'll never have to move the save anywhere.  If you have the .exe in the folder, you can also see your PNG of your Tamer ID without having to search around for it.  To make a Tamer ID, press 'P' while in game.

I pressed 'E' and a menu came up.
That'd be the Digiegg menu.  I'm not sure exactly how you get an egg, but it costs DP for it or something.

DP?
Digimon Power or Digimon Points or something.  I'm fairly certain it's the blue bars you get to train with.  You get one blue bar every five minutes to train with.  (Or at least close to that time.)

More shit:
You can open up more than one at a time.
Fridge freezes game.
F1 is also a menu to show digivolution paths *But it's more fun to have it be a surprise, IMO*
Your Digimon needs to be fed/given protein as soon as it hatches.
F4 full screens.
F5 saves.

Anyway!  Someone asked that I make a forum post over it.
And it'd make sense-- Seeing as 112 people have downloaded this and I've only posted it in Vinesauce's chat today.
So-- here's a place where we can show off and talk to one another about it, if you so wish.
